As part of The Blueprint for Success methodology, GetWellNetwork offers a comprehensive training curriculum through GetWellNetwork University. Its courses will provide your staff with the instruction needed to be proficient users of GetWellNetwork in your hospital. Your staff will be empowered to take ownership of the system, engage patients, and measure outcome performance.

Curriculum to Support Your Pursuit of Success

GetWellNetwork University courses are focused on the needs of specific hospital staff based on the manner in which they will interact with the system. Clinicians, front line staff, system technicians, application owners and implementation teams each require a different level of training. Instruction takes place onsite at your hospital, at GetWellNetwork headquarters or on the web. Additionally, configuration tools, videos, printable instructions, warranty process information, marketing and training tools are available online.

GetWellNetwork University also offers regular online workshops designed to deliver detailed information on a variety of topics ranging from new features and functionality to best practices in using and configuring the system to help meet performance goals.

Available Courses:

System Manager Training – a three day hands-on course held at GetWellNetwork headquarters in Bethesda, MD. The course instructs attendees on system functionality and components, support processes, content configuration, best practices and strategies for achieving optimal outcomes. Follow up webinars and online resources including our client community, GetConnected Online, are provided for continued instruction after completing the course. Attendees will be qualified to provide Super User training to other staff members when they return to your hospital.

System Technician Training – delivered onsite in your hospital for staff that will be tasked with providing some level of handson technical support. The course covers basic software and hardware support, system architecture and infrastructure, nurse call integration, in room installation, return merchandise processing, troubleshooting, support escalation procedures and more.

Super User Training – conducted in small groups and consisting of multiple classes lasting approximately two hours. While Super User training can be provided by your System Manager, GetWellNetwork’s experienced trainers are available to supplement. Super Users will leave the course with an understanding of the overall GetWellNetwork patient experience, the clinician experience, bedside clinical tools, overall functionality, outcomes achievement planning, basic system troubleshooting and escalation processes where applicable.

Launch Support – GetWellNetwork staff will provide multiple days of onsite, hands-on training or support for the launch of a system, major initiative or planned outcomes objective. When clients launch the GetWellNetwork solution for the first time or introduce new features and functionality, it can be helpful to have GetWellNetwork staff onsite to ensure a smooth transition, address any outstanding issues, orient the staff and coach them on engaging patients and families.

General Staff Training – a series of 30-minute instructional sessions provided onsite to your hospital staff. The sessions run concurrently over the course of two or three days enabling all staff members the opportunity to attend. The sessions provide attendees with an understanding of the GetWellNetwork system, its purpose, how to navigate the system, and how to engage patients. These sessions are intended for any staff members that interact with patients in the context of the GetWellNetwork system and do not need advanced system management knowledge or troubleshooting skills.

GetWellNetwork will recommend the appropriate number of days as needed by your situation. Training typically begins on the pilot unit where all shifts and project champions are learning together. Support of a major initiative also involves tracking and documenting functionality workflow to ensure that objectives are being met during the beta period prior to hospital-wide release.

Online Tutorials – GetWellNetwork provides HealthStream® online tutorials that can be accessed by staff through the hospital intranet or within leading learning management systems. The online training modules allow quick and systematic education of thousands of employees. Many hospitals find it most effective when added to their new hire orientation process. The training modules currently available include: System Overview, Patient Experience Overview, Navigating the System, and Patient Education.

Custom Training – classes can be customized if there is instruction the hospital desires that is not satisfied by our curriculum. GetWellNetwork will tailor training and support sessions to suit the hospital’s unique needs.
