GetWellNetwork, Inc. founded
Providing high-quality personalized patient care by engaging patients, educating families, and empowering clinicians.
At age 28, Michael O’Neil underwent aggressive surgery and chemotherapy for non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. While his clinical treatment was excellent, he often felt that his care was being done to him rather than with him. Michael spent a lot of time waiting and wondering, a state that fueled his desire to change the status quo. After his recovery, he made it his mission to help people feel more connected to their care.
Today, that mission is our mission at Get Well.
We are a global digital health company with more than 20 years of experience improving patient engagement. Through partnerships with some of the most progressive hospitals and health systems in the world, we use digital technology to improve the healthcare experience for patients, their families, and clinicians.
Get Well is leading the movement towards a more collaborative and participatory patient and family experience.
We’re led by a team of industry experts who bring with them years of healthcare industry knowledge and experience.
Our leadership team is dedicated to equipping healthcare organizations with the patient engagement solutions, tools, and resources they need. By helping to expand access and engagement for the communities they serve, we can work together to improve individual, population, and health equity outcomes.
For more than 20 years, every step along the way has been focused on driving positive outcomes for patients and their families.

The O’Neil Center for Patient Engagement Research is the industry’s first think tank for studying and advancing the science of patient and family engagement. It focuses on informing more effective healthcare management.
Whether that means leveraging empirical evidence to demonstrate the outcomes associated with patient engagement, or developing evidence-based tools and processes to help healthcare organizations with on-the-ground strategy and change management, the O’Neil Center works in partnership with Get Well’s clients to connect the art and science of patient engagement.
Get Involved Now, Get Well’s 501(c)(3) charity, works to meet the personal and emotional needs of cancer and pediatric patients, high-risk pregnancy patients, and U.S. Veterans during life-defining healthcare moments.
Through fundraising, community events, and donations, the Get Involved Now grant program helps hospitals support the non-healthcare needs of patients nationwide during their healthcare journeys.
