Dave Wright, senior vice president of client services, partners with health system leaders to effectively leverage digital health technology, people and processes to improve performance and rise to the top of the competitive healthcare market.
A company veteran having joined GetWellNetwork in 2003, Dave has shaped and expanded the company’s focus on outcomes achievement and value delivery through quality, safety and service performance improvements. In his current position, he leads the client services team in helping hospitals and health systems to implement best practices for optimizing solution utilization and value realization.
Over the course of his tenure, he has headed the government and international service lines. Dave was pivotal to the Veterans Health Administration’s and Defense Health Agency’s significant organizational performance improvements. He also led GetWellNetwork’s global expansion efforts, including securing partnerships in Australia, Canada, the Middle East and the United Kingdom.
Dave is an industry-recognized thought leader. He speaks, writes and advises on a variety of healthcare-related topics, including patient engagement, population health management and transformative care delivery strategies for improved financial performance.
He has served on multiple committees, panels and task forces, including the World Health Organization in connection with the adoption of patient and family engagement as a core strategy in activating patients in their care. Dave also founded and served on the board of directors of the Institute for Interactive Patient Care and is a past board member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
He has dedicated his more than 30-year career in healthcare to improving patient care access, delivery and outcomes through a variety of clinical, operational and strategic planning roles. Before GetWellNetwork, Dave was chief strategy officer at Inova Health System. Prior to that, he built an integrated care delivery system to manage full risk and to succeed in a capitated payment environment as vice president of physician integration and managed care at Health Dimensions, Inc.
Dave earned his Master of Public Health in health care administration from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
