Case Study

Community Regional Medical Center saves supervisors 10-12 hours per month monitoring staff compliance

Challenge

After a strong implementation and orientation, GetWell Inpatient education and utilization began to vary from unit to unit. In an effort to standardize and automate GetWell Inpatient training, the director of Innovation and Performance Improvement turned to GetWell Rounds+, a mobile surveying, rounding and data collection solution. GetWell Rounds+ can be used to securely collect, record and track data in real time, helping providers improve quality, safety and patient satisfaction, and monitor staff performance.

Solution & Approach

GetWell Rounds+ is a flexible tool that currently supports more than 150 different use cases. Community Regional’s nurse leaders also use it to articulate standards of practice, automate compliance tracking and develop accountability metrics surrounding GetWell Inpatient utilization. “For a truly successful, sustained rollout of GetWell Inpatient, every patient in every room needs to have the same level of education, engagement and care,” explained Dr. Peggy Grant. “When we looked at GetWell Rounds+, we realized that it could be easily adapted to help us make sure that our clinicians are receiving consistent, continuous training and evaluation on GetWell Inpatient.”
