Bethesda, Md., Aug. 7, 2014 – Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, part of Carolinas HealthCare System, will present at a webinar on Aug. 13, hosted by GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions. During the webinar, Sanger will describe how the GetWellNetwork Ambulatory™ solution enhanced the effectiveness and efficiency of outpatient encounters, leading to a 33 percent reduction in the length of new-patient visits.
Sanger Heart & Vascular manages over 200,000 patient visits each year across five cardiovascular adult and pediatric sub-specialties in 27 ambulatory locations throughout North and South Carolina. This webinar will illustrate how Sanger leverages GetWellNetwork Ambulatory on the iPad® to provide patients with condition-specific information, help them understand their care and complete priority care interventions.
Sanger began piloting GetWellNetwork Ambulatory in March 2014. Since then, 71 percent of Sanger patients have completed their scheduled education, and new-patient visit time has decreased from 45 to 30 minutes.
