GetWellNetwork’s Karen Drenkard to Speak at the Kaiser Permanente Inaugural Clinical Nursing Conference

Company’s chief clinical officer and chief nurse to serve on conference faculty and deliver speech on “The Power of Patient Engagement”

Bethesda, Md., Nov. 10, 2014 – GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, today announced that the company’s SVP, Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Nurse Karen Drenkard, Ph.D., RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, will present a keynote speech at Kaiser Permanente’s Inaugural Clinical Nursing Conference on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, in Pasadena, Calif. The event is expected to draw approximately 700 health care leaders and professionals.

The goal of the Inaugural Clinical Nursing Conference is to enhance the delivery of care by sharing evidence-based best practices and technology and workflow innovations. Drenkard’s speech, “The Power of Patient Engagement,” will focus on the current state of patient and family engagement within health care communities, and why patients are essential to improving quality, safety and cost outcomes. She will also emphasize the role of technology in activating patients and families along the care continuum.
