Companies integrate technologies and content to improve outcomes and performance through patient engagement
Bethesda, Md., February 24, 2014 – GetWellNetwork®, Inc., Krames Staywell™ and By Light Professional IT Services, Inc., today announced a partnership to expand their health care solution offerings for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers and Defense Health Agency (DHA) hospitals.
Together, GetWellNetwork’s Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) technology platform, Krames Staywell’s integrated health education solution, and By Light’s health IT engineering expertise will create a more engaging and personalized care experience for patients and their families in any setting.
Serving more than 30 VA medical centers and DHA hospitals, GetWellNetwork’s patient-centered technology enables providers to implement an IPC delivery model, which empowers patients to participate in their care and leads to better outcomes.
“We are proud to continue advancing the care experience of our veterans, service members and their families,” said David Bennett, chief operating officer of GetWellNetwork. “This new partnership is a phenomenal opportunity to integrate innovative technology and content solutions for patient engagement throughout the entire health journey.”
With a library of health education videos and discharge instructions developed specifically for the VA, Krames Staywell provides award-winning content and materials to help veterans learn about and improve their health.

By Light leverages its extensive experience with VA and DHA electronic health record systems and patient portal applications, such as VistA and My HealtheVet, to provide integration points for enhanced care workflows and the documentation of patient data.
“Our leadership team has aligned and integrated the Federal Healthcare Agency’s IT initiatives and business goals with those of By Light, creating a focused strategy to improve access to health care and the delivery of benefits to our veterans,” said Bob Donahue, President, By Light.
