Health information technology (HIT) leader to outline the impact of EHR incentive programs under Meaningful Use on behavioral and mental health providers
Bethesda, Md., March 14, 2014 – GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, today announced that Chief Information Officer David Muntz will deliver a keynote address and present a discussion at the eighth annual Qualifacts CareLogic Community Conference to be held March 16-19 in Nashville, Tenn. CareLogic Enterprise by Qualifacts is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) electronic health record (EHR) platform designed especially for behavioral and mental health providers.
On Monday, March 17 from 2:00-3:30 p.m., Muntz will lead a discussion with behavioral health agency executives entitled, “From Incentive Programs to Mandate.” The discussion will focus on the shift in public health and safety net systems from pay-for-service (simply covering time and space) to pay-for-value (improving the wellness of individuals and populations). Muntz and Qualifacts product team members will show agency executives how to participate in, and maximize, federal incentive programs.
On Tuesday, March 18, Muntz will deliver the general session keynote address from 9:30-10:45 a.m. on the topic of “HIT and Behavioral Health: Policy, Pragmatism and Predictions.” He will describe how EHR incentive programs for Meaningful Use continue to evolve, particularly for behavioral and mental health providers, and how CareLogic users can maximize their investment in technology, streamline access to information, and improve overall patient care.
“I first met David Muntz when he was the Principal Deputy Director of the ONC during a behavioral health roundtable I was participating in, and I was impressed with his vision for an integrated national HIT strategy and his appreciation for behavioral health providers’ role in making healthcare reform a success,” said David Klements, president and chief executive officer of Qualifacts. “I’m excited for the opportunity for him to share his expertise and perspective with the CareLogic community.”
