GetWellNetwork Appoints John George as Chief Growth Officer

Health care industry veteran brings combination of technology, business operations
and sales acumen to patient engagement market leader

Bethesda, Md., Jan. 7, 2015 – GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, today announced that John George has joined the company as senior vice president and chief growth officer. In this role, he will lead all sales and marketing efforts for GetWellNetwork and the expansion of its IPC client community.

George has extensive experience in consumer health information solutions, clinical health care solutions, health care revenue cycle services and financial products, as well as pharmaceutical relationship management software. Previously, he was chief growth officer for StayWell, a health engagement company, where he oversaw all sales and client retention services for the provider, health plan and employer channels.

“We’re fortunate to have John on our executive team as we continue to expand into the commercial, federal and international sectors,” said Michael O’Neil, founder and chief executive officer of GetWellNetwork. “John’s broad background will be a tremendous asset to our current and future client community as more and more providers across the country and around the world recognize and embrace the value of patient engagement.”

Prior to joining StayWell, George served as senior vice president of sales at A.D.A.M., Inc., where he led the company’s sales organization, focusing on customer relationship management and client retention. He also served as senior vice president of sales for Per-Se Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded health care software technology firm acquired by McKesson Corporation in January 2007. He also held the role of vice president of North American operations for Synavant, a developer of PRM/CRM solutions for the pharmaceutical industry that was acquired by Dendrite.

“No other organization in health care engages patients and families at every point along the care continuum as effectively as GetWellNetwork,” said George. “Our clients are able to recognize a solid, measurable return on investment that no other solutions provider can match. I’m particularly proud of the company’s commitment to meeting the unique needs of our country’s veteran population and their families.”
