Cardon Children’s Medical Center to Present Webinar on Reducing Asthma Readmissions Through Patient Engagement

American Hospital Association (AHA) to host event detailing use of GetWellNetwork’s Interactive Patient Care™ technology to enhance patient education and care

Bethesda, Md., Nov. 17, 2014 – Cardon Children’s Medical Center, part of Banner Health, in Mesa, Ariz., will present at a complimentary webinar on Nov. 19 describing how their clinicians used GetWellNetwork’s Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) technology to empower patients and families to take greater control of their asthma, and achieve zero readmissions during Cardon’s busiest asthma months. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), asthma is on the rise. Nearly 25 million Americans suffer from asthma. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimate that health care costs related to asthma exceed $50 billion annually, including hospital readmissions.
