PatientResource:)Suite™The PatientResource:)Suite enables patients to continue with their daily life while in the hospital. The suite features the following functionality:
Internet Access Hospital room internet access available to patients through The PatientResource:)Suite lets patients tap into the many resources available on the Web. Whether to learn more about their medical condition, stay current on the latest news headlines, or simply enjoy themselves, patients will appreciate being able to stay connected to their world. Through the hospital room internet access and a wireless keyboard, patients can visit many of their favorite Web sites and access Web-based patient email resources (e.g., Yahoo Mail). Web content is filtered to prevent access to inappropriate sites. Movies The PatientResource:)Suite offers patients access to more than 30 movie titles on-demand, including the latest Hollywood features. These hospital room on-demand movies can be presented on-screen according to age group, genre-type or MPAA rating. All movies have been edited for objectionable content and approved by hospital administration. All movies have VCR-like functionality that enables the viewer to start, stop and pause the movie. GWN Television provides you with the ability to control a particular patient group’s access to specific television programming. Regardless of your television service provider, the system enables you to limit the viewing of regular television programming. For example, based on hospital requirements, the system can limit access by minors to programming targeted to more mature audiences.
Journal provides a valuable resource to Healing Resources gives patients access to a host of complementary medical therapies including relaxing music and videos as well as helpful exercises that are designed to aid in the healing process and improve the care environment. (May require additional content licensing). Community Information promotes the wealth of resources available to patients in the community surrounding the hospital. Direct patients to information on nearby hotels, dining establishments, legal/financial services, counseling resources, and more. This opportunity increases the service level of the hospital while offering valuable information to patients. Hospital Information enhances the hospital presence by posting important information about the facilities and services available to patients and their families, including a welcome message from the hospital leadership, visitor hours, religious services, cafeteria hours, special events, and more. This opportunity increases the hospital brand awareness while communicating value to patients.
Music helps patients relax and enjoy themselves. Patients can select from a range of music in a variety of genres and eras. Music is played through the television or pillow speaker while information about the currently playing song is displayed on the screen. (In development). Games Hospital room video games let patients entertain themselves. Provide access to fun-filled games which range in complexity levels and are presented on-screen by age group to help patients quickly identify which games they would be most interested in playing. Using the wireless remote control or keyboard, patients can spend hours mastering the hospital room video games during their stay. (May require additional content licensing). Welcome Pathway, triggered by a patient’s admission, provides your patients with a welcome message and introduction to resources available to them within the GetWellNetwork. Entertainment Promotion Pathway can be configured to periodically promote the use of services such as the hospital room on-demand movies, patient email or even specific television programs to patients based on their location or many demographic characteristics. Promotions include various levels of pop-up notifications, and on-screen promotional content tailored to the individual patient, or unit. The Promotion Pathway can also prompt patients to respond to a set of questions that can help tune the entertainment content to better meet the needs of your patient population as well as collect requests for alternate or additional material.
