Outcomes Research Initiative

The commitment of GetWellNetwork® is more than placing a new tool in the hands of patients and their caregivers. The full power of the platform is measured by the enhanced outcomes that are attributable to the system being incorporated into the traditional care process by the care team.

Every interaction with the system taken by a member of the care team, whether initiated by a patient or directed by a caregiver, is recorded in an electronic GWN Patient Profile which can be documented back into clinical information systems. The aggregate of this information becomes the basis for insightful analysis and measurement by hospital and clinical leaders.

Measuring Results, Measuring Impact

GetWellNetwork, in conjunction with David Nash, MD, MBA, recently launched a formal research initiative focused on generating evidence-based data that validates the impact and value of interactive patient care solutions on the care process. Dr. Nash is the Chairman of the Department of Health Policy at Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Medical College. He is nationally recognized for his academic research and consulting work dedicated to measuring and improving the quality of medical care.

The specific aims of the initiative include examining the effect of the GetWellNetwork platform on:

• Clinical outcomes and patient compliance
• Patient satisfaction and nurse job satisfaction
• Reducing hospital operational costs
