GetConnected conference to equip attendees with tools to hardwire interactive patient care as a cornerstone of their patient care operations

BETHESDA, MD – March 28, 2012 – GetWellNetwork, Inc. today announced its fifth annual users conference, GetConnected2012, will be held from April 30 – May 2, 2012 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida. GetConnected2012 is designed to advance the role and impact of Interactive Patient Care (IPC) as a strategic business imperative for hospitals nationwide, and attendees will leave with the tools to hardwire IPC into their facilities. Some conference sessions have been CEAC approved.

GetConnected will help prepare hospital leaders and clinicians to meet the challenge of moving from volume-based to value-based health care delivery. For attendees the users conference offers renowned speakers, client-led sessions, poster presentations and workshops to identify and assemble the strategy and the tools necessary to implement best practices in interactive patient care in their facility.

“GetConnected2012 is an important time to celebrate the successes our community has realized,” said Michael O’Neil, founder and CEO, GetWellNetwork, Inc. “It also provides a tremendous opportunity to renew and advance the journey we have begun to transform the way patient care is delivered in our nation’s hospitals. This year’s conference will provide an interactive experience that will provoke new thinking, challenge traditions, engage attendees in clinical practice redesign, and advance our collective ability to lead the change needed to transform patient care.”

The GetConnected conference will have a three-part focus that will help facilities:

·         Design a blueprint for hardwiring IPC into the care they provide,

·         Focus on sharing success stories and “what works” best practices, and

·         Gather the tools that they will need to build their action plan and move forward.

Attendees will visit Florida Hospital Celebration Health, a recognized leader in IPC innovation on April 30th. Celebration Health has effectively integrated IPC into the daily delivery of care using the GetWellNetwork solution.

“GetConnected is essential in advancing our delivery of IPC,” said Mark Lorenz, associate administrator, Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children. “It brings together a growing community committed to transforming the patient experience.”

Featured speakers at the conference will include:
